Waterman's 52

This classic pen was made from 1917 to about 1930 and became a staple model in Waterman's lineup. The pen is a hard rubber lever-filler and features the iconic No. 2 Ideal nib. The 52 was a launchpad for other variations, such as the 52 1/2, a smaller version of the same model, and 52V for pocket-sized pens. Waterman's also offered this model in a variety of overlay patterns - - gold-filled being designated with a "0" at the beginning.

The chased model on the left could be considered the "base model" with additional modifications being added on for an additional cost (such as a custom nib, overlays, pen material etc.)
